Abstract

In our recent research study, an inclusive team of researchers sought to understand the perspectives and experiences of Autistic adults. A team of six
researchers, including two on the autism spectrum, developed interview questions, conducted interviews with 9 Autistic adults, and coded qualitative data using thematic analysis. During this presentation, three of the researchers, including two Autistic researchers, will discuss the research process and provide outcomes of the study included themes that emerged from the interviews. Suggestions for other inclusive research teams will be provided and suggestions for future research based on the perspectives learned in the current study will be discussed.
